Claudio Filippi is a specialist in the training and development of goalkeepers. Graduated from the State I.S.E.F. of Rome in 1989, he enhanced his education by obtaining technical qualifications, including Professional Athletic Trainer in 1994 at Coverciano, UEFA B License Coach in 1997, and Goalkeeper Coach. At the international level, he recently obtained the UEFA GK A license.
In the academic field, Filippi served as a volunteer assistant at the Biomechanics Laboratory of the State I.S.E.F. of Rome under the guidance of Prof. Manoni from 1993 to 1998. He contributed to the training of new professionals as a co-supervisor of numerous theses regarding the role of the goalkeeper and taught at the Specialist Degree Course in Science and Techniques of Sport at the IUSM of Rome between 2007 and 2009.
As an author, he has published several articles in specialized football magazines and has written books such as “Prestazioni tecnico-tattiche dei più grandi portieri del mondo – Scout della partita” (1995), “L’evoluzione tecnico-tattica del portiere da USA ‘94 a Brasile 2014” (2015), and “La tecnica del portiere.” He has also produced educational audiovisual materials, including the videotape “Training the Goalkeeper – New Methodology” (1995) and the DVD “Attacking the Ball” (2006).
On the field, he has served as a goalkeeper coach in various teams, both at youth and professional levels. His collaborations include Serie A clubs such as A.S. Roma, A.C. Chievo Verona, A.C. Siena, A.C. Parma, and, since 2010, Juventus FC, where he continues to play a key role in the development of goalkeepers in the youth sector.
